We understand that each relocation comes with its own unique set of circumstances and we offer a flexible approach to dealing with all applications. All enquiries are dealt with on a personal basis by our Admissions Officer, Mary Dorgan, ensuring the smoothest transition possible.
Students must complete the Non-Domestic Student Application Form*, which must then be sent, with a signed passport photograph and associated documentation, to the following address:
The Administrator (Applications)
The Institute of Education
82/85 Lower Leeson Street
* Students from EU Member States (with the exception of Cyprus and Greece), Canada, United States of America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa & United Kingdom. Applicants from other territories must apply via our International Department.
Once an application has been received, the student and their parents will be invited to attend for interview. Overseas applicants unable to come to the school may have their interview conducted over Skype with Mary Dorgan, our Admissions Officer.
At interview, help and advice will be given about the curriculum and the timing of the academic year to help the transition into the Irish system. The students’ objectives, motivation and examination results to date will also be discussed.
Places are offered subsequent to a successful interview.
The fees for the 6th Year Programme for the academic year 2017/2018 are €8,450.
A deposit of €500 is payable to secure a student’s place. This deposit does not entitle a student to attend classes.
In the event of a student cancelling their application for any reason, before commencement of the school year, the Institute will refund the fees less €200 administration fee. If the student leaves after the commencement of the academic year the Institute will retain the deposit of €500 and a proportionate amount of the fees.
No refund of fees after 1 January 2018. Credit card payments are not accepted.
