Our 5th and 6th year Home Economics students enjoyed a day at Ballymaloe Cookery School at the end of May. As well as enjoying a tour of the school’s organic farm and herb gardens, the students had a cookery demonstration from Chef Darina Allen. After this they put their own culinary skills to the test and prepared an evening meal which they all got to sit down and enjoy before they heading back to Dublin on the evening train.
A great day was had by all and thanks to our Home Economics teacher Sandra Cleary for organising such a great trip!
