To mark this year’s International Women’s Day on March 8th, some of our 4th year students attended an interactive workshop on gender and development organised by Concern Worldwide today.
During the all-day event the students took part in sessions with representatives from the Irish Immigrant Council and Concern Worldwide, with topics focusing on gender equality in the developing world, women and trafficking and gender and the media.
This was an great opportunity for our students to consider the advancements made in gender equality in recent years, and to explore the many challenges and injustices women still face around the world. An excellent way to celebrate this important day.
