UCD Science, Computer Science and BAFS Open Day

An Open Day will take place for 6th Years, A-Level students, FETAC applicants, mature applicants, parents and teachers at the UCD O’Brien Centre for Science on Wednesday 19 April 2017, from 2:00pm -4.00pm.

Learn about what to expect in your first year in UCD in¬†Science, Computer Science and Actuarial & Financial Studies, talk to current students and staff and get a tour of the facilities in the UCD O’Brien Centre for Science.

A short talk on DN200 Science, DN201 Computer Science and DN230 Actuarial & Financial Studies will take place in the Moore Auditorium during the afternoon and a 50-minute Career Workshop will also take place to help explain what it’s really like to work as a scientist across a range of disciplines.

There will be an opportunity to meet academic staff and current students at the following stands:

  • Actuarial & Financial Studies
  • Computer Science/Computer Science with Data Science
  • Biology and Environmental Science
  • Biomolecular and Biomedical Science
  • Chemistry
  • Geology
  • Mathematics and Statistics
  • Science and Mathematics Education
  • Physics
