Fantastic to see our BT Young Scientist exhibitors, 5th year students Matthew O’Dwyer and Aaron Dinesh, in The Medical Independent last month.

Matthew and Aaron’s project, entitled Mors a Vita – A Study into the antibacterial properties of the basic building blocks of life, saw them develop an antibiotic from amino acids.

The project also recently won overall First Place at SciFest at TU Dublin Tallaght, and Matthew and Aaron now go on to the SciFest National Finals, which take place in November.

You can read the full article, on a number of fascinating health-related projects on show at the recent 2019 BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in Dublin, here>>
