Circuit training with Brian Gregan

Circuit training with Brian Gregan

International athlete Brian Gregan has been taking students from the Institute through their paces in our new weekly circuit training classes, which started in the school in October.

The classes, which take place 4 times a week. involve body weight and weighted exercises with the aim to increase physical fitness and improve body shape.

Students of all abilities are welcome to attend. The classes are a great way to meet other students, get in shape, and help relieve any stress built up throughout the week.

Brian is Head of the Institute’s new Health & Fitness Programme, which involves coaching the Institute’s athletics team, taking weekly fitness classes with students and giving weekly talks on nutrition and health.

Brian is an athlete who has won a silver medal at the European Championships and has represented Ireland at International track events for over 10 years. In 2017 Brian was named as Athletics Ireland Athlete of the Year. Brian has a BA in Sports Science and a Level 2 coaching qualification.
