The Institute of Education is delighted to be a Bronze Sponsor of this year’s CoderDoJo Coolest Projects Showcase taking place on Saturday, June 17th in the RDS.
Expected to be the biggest youth technology event Ireland has ever seen, Coolest Projects offers young coders the chance to submit projects using their creativity and skills with computer languages and hardware to build cool apps, games, websites and robots.
The 2017 event is set to be bigger and brighter than ever before, with over 20,000 attendees working across a range of industries expected, and over 1,000 projects demoed by a combination of teams and individuals aged 7 to 17 who attend CoderDoJos around the world.
The event will be centred around three core themes – Games, Interactive Future (IoT) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Education, Art and Mathematics).
In only 5 years CoderDojo Coolest Projects has grown to become the only event of its kind, and the largest one day youth technology showcase event in Ireland.
“Encouraging young people to learn the skills and develop the confidence to become the digital creators of tomorrow is vitally important” said Peter Kearns, Director of The Institute of Education. “The Institute is proud to support Coolest Projects. We wish all the participants the very best of luck!”
